I receive complicated emails from potential patients almost weekly about possible scenarios and I am quizzed about costs.

Please come and see me; its likely I will know in seconds whether your treatment ideas are viable, and sensible, or if better options are available, and be able to give you an idea of costs.

About Christopher Newby BDS DPDS

Christopher Newby BDS DPDS graduated from Bristol University in 1993. He has subsequently worked in in several practices in the Bristol area and abroad in Australia and has gained a great deal of practical experience in general dental practice. He completed a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies with modules in crown and bridgework, prosthetics and endodontics in 2003. His particular area of interest and expertise lies in the treatment of anxious patients especially those needing difficult and complex treatment under conscious sedation and placement and restoration of dental implants.

For around the last 15 years Chris has treated around 20 patients a week on referral because of their dental anxiety or the difficulty of their dental needs. This involves large amounts of surgical destistry and advanced restorative work and has lead on to placing and restoring implants with the highly regarded Straumann implant system. He has been placing and restoring implants in Bristol and Clevedon for the last 13 years as well as continuing his training with further courses in further bone augmentation and advanced techniques. He has completed the Master's course in Guided Bone Regeneration and Sinus grafting techniques at Berne University in Switzerland.

He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and an active member of the International Team of Implantologists, who meet regularly for postgraduate training, lectures and to discuss complex and interesting cases.
